Greetings! Terry Roberts here, Founder of Making a Living Your Way. Before regaling you with my “credentiales” (I think that’s Spanish, maybe Portuguesa), allow me to explain what makes “Making a Living Your Way” different from most like-kind resources out there in onlinebusinessland.
As you will see, after getting a college degree in advertising, I spent the first 25 years of my career in traditional marketing and advertising roles. (You know the drill: Fortune 100 boardroom meetings with CEO’s and other C-level execs, hi-faluten ad agencies, martini lunches at New York restaurants, the whole bit) . That evolved into the ownership and management of my own marketing firms.
Then I spent the last 15 years specializing in online business/marketing. Because I was enamored with direct response advertising, where you can measure the results of your marketing efforts, I jumped with abandon onto the Web early, as soon as it went commercial (it wasn’t at first, you know). I loved the internet, because it represented a whole new world of being able to measure return-on-investment. I spent those 15 years as both an independent online business and marketing consultant as well as an entrepreneur with my own online businesses.
So, what I offer appears to be pretty rare: a blend of classic branding, marketing and advertising combined with deep emersion into what works online. With that in my arsenal, my aim is to help make you a very savvy businessperson foremost and – within that – help you be successful at making a living in the online world.
I live by the the truism that “people don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care!” You’ll find that I bring a real, authentic, respectful and humane approach to business. I won’t yell at you. I won’t preach at you. I won’t rant and rave. I won’t hard-sell at you. I’ll simply communicate in a conversational manner to share with you the most important lessons that I’ve learned from 40 years in traditional business, marketing and the online world. I invite you to take from it what is useful to you.
One more thing. I admit that I don’t know it all. And I won’t pretend that I do. When I don’t know, I’ll either say so, or track down the answer for you.

I’m Terry Dean Roberts, the Founder of Making a Living Your Way. I’m a 40-year “serial entrepreneur”, business executive, marketing strategist, e-zine publisher and visionary. Between an advertising degree from the University of Washington and the above, I was a Navy war veteran.
For the past fifteen years, I have been the Founder and CEO of Terry Roberts Consulting & Services, intially based in Seattle WA USA, but now based in beautiful and tranquil Cuenca, Ecuador.
My experience spans business and product launches, strategic planning and marketing (off-line and on-line), e-commerce, business development and market research. I have contributed to improving the success of over 250 companies – from start-ups to the Fortune 500 – in a wide variety of industries: consumer products, high-tech, B2B, services and non-profits.
A small sampling of household-name clients that I have provided marketing advice and services to includes: Microsoft, Procter & Gamble, Classmates, Marriott, Kimberly Clark, NASDAQ, Paramount Studios, Arm & Hammer, Procter & Gamble, Heublein, Amway. Then later – after I overcame the insanity of the corporate world – I worked with myriad of smaller Mom & Pop companies and some very interesting entrepreneurial start-ups that were out to change the world as we know it.

I now live the life of a “lifestyle entrepreneur” myself, running online businesses and launching new projects from wherever my travels take me (and my laptop).
I founded Making A Living Your Way to help both people who are early in their careers as well as 50+ adults become “lifestyle entrepreneurs” and make money online as their full-time income or a as supplement to retirement income.
I am the author of “Relocating to Ecuador – Eyes Wide OPEN”, which is the most extensive book available to help people assess relocating to Ecuador. But to all wannabe “lifestyle entrepreneurs” who are considering living outside the US, the book helps them assess all the things that they need to consider regarding such a move.
